Add AC Repair and Service to Your Spring To-Do List

Spring is finally here. We’re almost sure your to-do list already feels too long, but we have a couple things that might save you some trouble and keep you comfortable in the months to come. The weather is beginning to heating up in Augusta and the last thing you want is to find out is that you’re in need of AC repair. Going through this simple checklist now may save you from sweating this summer.

  1. Look at Your Air Filter and Ducts
Changing your air filter makes it to almost each and every single of our lists of pointers because it's so important and so often left unaddressed. If your air filter is a mess, your system will have to work harder to keep you cozy. This costs you more money and causes more wear and tear which reduces the life and efficiency of your system. Your ducts and registers are another piece of the puzzle that is often forgotten as well. While you're spring cleaning, pull off the covers from your registers and vacuum inside them. While you have the covers pulled off, soak them in mild dish soap, give them a scrub and switch them after they've dried.
  2. Clean Your Outdoor Unit
Keep any outdoor units free of debris such as grass clippings, leaves or plant overgrowth. This debris can impact your system and cause it to lower its efficiency.
  3. Schedule Your Annual AC Tune-Up
This is where we come in to help you take on that to-do list. An annual AC tune-up lengthens the life of your system and keeps it working at top efficiency. Spring is the perfect time to schedule your tune-up so any issues or AC repair that needs to be made can be handled before the hot summer months. The cost of a tune-up is a little investment into the lifespan of your system. Think of it as giving your air conditioner an oil change.

We can't help you with the entirety of your spring to-do list, but we can help you with all things involving your home comfort. We want to make sure you’re cool and comfortable all summer long.
